Sunday, July 31, 2011 Nantucket Fluke Trip
Picture perfect fluke trip today. Big tides, no wind and hungry fish. Today we stopped a little short from where we fished last week and got on them right away. The size was up even from what we had last week. The pool was close with Dave Henn of Yardley PA just beating out Steve Meyers of Oxford CT. I am sure they were both happy being they each had 10 pound fluke. Dave caught his doormat with a nuclear chicken colored gulp grub on a large bucktail with another gulp 2 feet above. The gulp grubs have been the hot ticket lately . Today the big hard core fluke groups were out showing their fluke talent including the Kittley group from Long Island, the Gammone group from Queens and the Dudek group from Belmar NJ. Thanks for coming guys.

Another great day of fluke fishing off the beach at Nantucket. Today we had a nice mix of fish with many in the 5 to 7 pound range and a few up to 9. The top fish was 10.4 pounds caught by Ed Mott of East Rockaway NY.
Link below has great pictures from both trips:
